School Improvement Plan

Church Drive Primary School

School improvement plan

Every year we review our school’s strengths and areas for development. We set priorities in our School Improvement Plan to make sure our children get the best possible education. Below is a summary of our key priorities for 2025-2026

A. Enhancing Attendance through Leadership, Accountability and Pupil Well-being – Good attendance is vital for learning. We’re working closely with families to improve attendance and make sure every child makes the most of school.

What this means for your child: Regular celebration of good attendance and extra help where attendance is a challenge.

B. Focus on SEND and Disadvantaged Adaptations within Teaching & Learning – We are improving how we identify and support pupils with special needs and those who are disadvantaged, ensuring they get the right help at the right time.

What this means for your child: More personalised support and resources and close partnership with parents and outside agencies.

C. Developing an Enquiry-Based Curriculum with Disciplinary Knowledge and Executive Function Skills – We’re developing an even richer curriculum that builds children’s knowledge and skills across all subjects embedding executive function skills

What this means for your child: More hands-on experiences, trips and visitors. Clear journey of learning from year to year.

Parents and carers are key partners in our journey . We welcome your ideas and feedback through surveys, meetings and parent forums. Together we can ensure every child at Church Drive Primary School belongs, achieves and thrives.
